LakeSemi secondary-side synchronous rectifier controller LS8060, working with an external MOSFET, directly replaces the Schottky rectifier diode for a significant efficiency gain: full support for DCM / QR / CCM flyback and active-clamp (ACF) topologies, up to 600 kHz operation, and turn-on / turn-off delays of just 25 ns / 22 ns. The chip integrates a 180 V high-voltage sense and supply circuit — no VDD auxiliary winding needed — while the smart dual-path VDD supply module keeps synchronous rectification reliable even when the output drops to 0 V, a natural fit for wide-output QC / PD fast charging. High-Side / Low-Side configurations are both supported, and smart turn-on detection eliminates false turn-on from DCM ringing.
